Dear Expedia,
I recently stayed at the RIU Baja California and felt compelled to share my experience. Despite the promise of a dreamy vacation, my time there was marred by several disappointments.
First and foremost, the all-inclusive package did not live up to its billing, particularly in terms of the food. Upon arrival, my party and I experienced severe illness after consuming breakfast, leading us to lose trust in the hotel's culinary offerings. Sadly, this sentiment was echoed by numerous other guests we encountered, all of whom had similar unpleasant experiences. As someone who didn't visit Cabo to indulge in hotdogs and nachos, the limited food options were a significant letdown.
Moreover, the accommodations fell short of expectations. The beds were notably small, making it challenging for travelers like myself who were sharing a room with a friend or family member. While the room cleaning service met basic standards, it was one of the few aspects of our stay that we found satisfactory.
Additionally, the quality of poolside drinks left much to be desired, further adding to our disappointment. Despite raising our concerns with guest services, we felt that our grievances were largely dismissed, leaving us feeling undervalued as guests.
This trip was meant to be a special occasion shared with my adult daughter, but unfortunately, it fell far short of being memorable for all the wrong reasons.
