We would have loved Arriva if it had delivered what was promised. The website clearly described the rooms as having a fridge/freezer and telephone. In actual fact, they have neither. For medical reasons we need a fridge, so we had to use our larger litter bin as an ice bucket and kept having to run out and buy more ice. Phone-wise, we had given the hotel number as one at which we could be reached, as the Arriva website says there are phones in the rooms. So the staff were lovely, and the rooms quite acceptable (our bathroom door didn’t close), but — for us anyway — the gulf between advertising and reality was crucial.
